The Hannukia or Hannukah Lamp, is a traditional Judaica item used to symbolize the miracle of the temple where the oil from one small jug lasted for eight days.
The Hannukah lamp has a “Shamash” (the servant) the candle that is lit every night and is used to light the rest of the Hannukah candles, and every day you light another andle untill the eight days are up.
The last day of Hannukah, when all the candles are lit, the Hannukia is a beautiful spectacle of light and joy, and a wonderful connection to tradition and god.
